Saving for a domain

Published Friday, August 4, 2006 by Luke Jarzembowski

Last year, wanting to buy a domain , I was looking for the cheapest offer on the market ... this year I realized that I gave a stretch.

The difference between a company in which the pile of this domain , and its competitor - a company in which I am hosting was about five, respectively. With the extension, however, another company had a more favorable rate, so I decided that before the end of the year will transfer the domain to another operator.

Well I was wrong. Company ConsultingService the regulations reserved the "promotion of domains. Com" that transfer the purchased domain to another provider will be possible only after the domain extension, or will be paid extra - a trifle - 99zł (net).

And now just has Superhost is promoted to domain extensions. com - PLN 15 cheaper than ConsultingService.

What are the conclusions?

  1. When buying a domain does not follow the purchase price and the price of renewal.
  2. Read carefully all the rules of the promotion (this is certainly not the only domains ;-)
  3. I do not know about you, but I prefer to have all domains and websites in a single provider. saves a lot of time and memory on the logins / passwords for different service providers. Superhost I think in this case, the best company.
